Q: What is GLEAN Anti-Slip Stone Grip?
A: GLEAN Anti-Slip Stone Grip is flooring treatment that increases the grip levels and reduces the chance of slips and falls.
Q: How does GLEAN Anti-Slip Stone Grip work?
A: Once applied the treatment lightly etches the surface to create 'micro-ridges' that increase grip. Simply apply the treatment to the slippery surface and leave to work (5-20 mins). Once the required grip level is reached neutralise the solution and wash off and allow to dry.
Q: How long should I treat my floor for?
A: This varies by surface type, however most surface can be treated in 5-20 minutes. We recommended checking slip resistance using a rubber shoe, ideally it should slip less that 25-50mm (1-2 inches). Once this has been achieved the treatment should be neutralised and washed off. Do not allow to dry.
Q: Will GLEAN Anti-Slip Stone Grip damage my tiles?
A: No. The micro-ridges are microscopic and not visible to the naked eye.
Q: How do I neutralise the treatment?
A: Simply fill a bucket or spray bottle with clean water and then add one or two tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) per 5 litres gallon of water and mix well.
Q: How do I wash the surface after application?
A: Use a diluted and mild soap detergent.
Q: Should I clean the surface as normal?
A: We recommend brushing/moping the surface with a mild soap and rinsing, once a week. In commercial and high traffic areas, clean daily with a deck brush to agitate the surface.
Q: Will it work on sealed surfaces?
A: GLEAN Anti-Slip Stone Grip does not work as effectively on sealed surfaces.
Q: What can I do if my surface is sealed?
A: Lightly sand the tiles or use a sealant remover and then use as normal
Q: Will it change the look of my floors?
A: No. It dries clear and will not change the look of your tiles or natural stone surface. If you have dark tiles, reduce the application time and test on inconspicuous area first.
Q: I have shiny tiles?
A: GLEAN Anti-Slip Stone Grip may reduce shine - test on small area first.
